Unlike some other mobile platforms, Microsoft doesn't restrict what you run on your device. On mine I have Opera 9.7 as default, Internet Explorer, Skyfire and a beta of Fennec. If you are wondering, why anyone needs 4 internet browsers on a phone, the answer is I don't, but I can. The user agent on my phone doesn't reveal it's running on Windows Mobile, I would suspect that not all of them do, so I don't think the reported percentage is accurate. I'm not suggesting it would be more than the iPhone, simply because the iPhone popularised mobile web browsing, and before it's release there were very few contracts with reasonable browsing packages.!

@krisrm, no argument on your point, it's just hugely expensive, and why not leap frog over the expense of putting in a GSM network when you can leap-frog over and install the next generation network when GSM has been around for years and the next gen is only a couple of years away. If I were Verizon at this point I'd sit on my piggy bank and wait for a better investment.It's also what the industry pundits say that they'll do.

Or, perhaps you should think of it in terms of overall device longevity. You *don't* have to send to Droid back to manufacturer if your battery charge starts decreasing after a while. Or if you have any sort of battery problems at all.Swappable batteries are a *good* thing. Don't just tout Apple's way of doing things, please.
