| Before you start making 'comicbook guy squinty-eyes' at the posters, read the comic and watch the comic-con preview footage... you'll be pleasantly surprised. :) |

They're trying to paint Obama as the savior (the aliens bring healthcare) and that they believe he's actually trying to destroy the world (like the reptile aliens). The aliens come with promises to help mankind find peace and happiness in order to subvert them and take over.Realistically, the plot is the same used many times before, and the aliens actually made the world worse for the purpose of being saviors (which they fail to acknowledge in comparisons) and have plans to literally kill off mankind. I'm pretty sure Obama doesn't want to kill off mankind, and I'm pretty sure he's not a lizard man either..
What, they missed "don't kill people" day in school?!

It is painfully obvious that you're just one of Rob's allies trying to stick up for him... this is a serious matter and your attempt at downplaying the issue will not be tolerated?
If fat makes you popular, consider me Miles Davis |

it's time we have a unilateral monetary policy in cooperation with other nations. America cannot and should not act on its own will anymore. There's a world out there too.

No, but if you've watched Hard Knocks, you'd know his girlfriend is quite the looker.

"***** them for being too stupid to find anything better to do."Too stupid? One of the reasons I joined was because there was no way I could afford to go to a decent college. My test scores were among the highest in the area. However, my family was exceptionally poor, my parents couldn't afford to send me to even a community college, and where I came from there were few, if any, scholarships. No one in my area would give me a student loan, as my family had poor credit history (not to mention, I was 18, and didn't want to be in debt until I retired, as the interest rate was astronomical) So, I had a few options. I could be a coal miner, a farm hand, or I could take the third option -- The Army. The Army gave me a chance to live up to my potential, along with continuing my education. It also trained me to the knowledge level of an IT Administrator (not bad for On-the-job training)In the meantime, I get paid factory-worker wages, often work 12 to 15 hour days, and get separated from my Wife (and all the comforts of home) for years on end. When it's all over, I get to come home to these -- asinine, slanderous comments concerning not only my intelligence and morality, but my value as a human being. I get called "baby killer, murderer, rapist, scum, filth, and stupid" by people who work 9 to 5, come home to their families, and watch some of the more mentally-challenged Soldiers make the rest of us look like asses on CNN or Fox News. The same people then log onto digg, and proceed to call me a coward.I have never shot anyone, nor will I ever murder someone. I will, however, return fire on someone who is actively trying to kill me. If that alone makes me a murderer in your mind -- ask yourself -- "what would I do if someone were trying to kill me?" I sometimes question the war, but still deploy when ordered to - as I do not have a choice in that regard. Finally, I don't think any of you owe me anything. I don't expect any more respect than the next guy. I don't expect a "Thank you", and I don't even expect a military discount. What I do expect, however, is to be seen for who I am, what I've personally done, and treated as you would like others to treat you. |
