Yes, but at least Verizon's prices come with a benefit: better infrastructure. All around Verizon keeps building new better infrastructure and AT&T keeps using their old infrastructure with new technology. Not just in wireless though, AT&T offers DSL only still (of course the 6mbps [AT&T's fastest plan] plan for a mere $35/month is AWESOME!) vs Verizon's fiber optic to home (FiOS) (their cheapest plan being 15down/5up mbps for an expensive less than double the price $50-55/month for about 3x the down speed, and far more than that upload speed).All around, Verizon offers better services, so the extra little price tags are usually worth it. Only thing keeping AT&T going usually is misinformation, or monopolies (iPhone & service areas). I can't get FiOS for example because it's AT&T's territory.

I agree with most of what you say, just the times you mention. 'an hour', considering the state that most of my customers let their computer get to before they bring it in is certainly not sufficient. With digital picture & mp3 libraries these days the average is 40-60gb, if not 120, so the backup we do will take hours by themselves.. Lastly, an hour is often how long automatic scans take by themselves and automatic scanners don't remove the 0-day stuff. Presumably that's what I'm there for. I'm not ashamed to say I usually know nothing about the virus/spyware I'll be removing that day, which I think is fair since it's only been out for 2 days..
