I got an idea. Carry a spare battery with you or charge on the go (e.g. car or work). I live in Asia and the smartphones here are battery hogs. Everyone simply carries a spare battery or most places like restaurants, bars, gyms, etc have phone chargers for you to use for a while.

Let's say I'm completely ethical and attempt to implement an ethical scheme. Some other executive will come along and promise to increase profits at the expense of ethics. Shareholders rarely care, and thus I get replaced and everyone around me sees what ethical behavior results in.

if i understand your point correctly, wouldn't you end up having, say 5 copies of openssl libraries on your system after installing dovecot, ssh, apache, joe's small app, etc? then what happens if there is a security issue with ssl? you can't just patch the system library because you have all these other applications using their own ones. it would be a security and administrative nightmare.?
