That is great that you have 3G service on at&t -- and pretty understandable if you live in the coverage area. I live around Chicago so most of my friends that have at&t have 3g coverage too! wow. What Verizon's ad does is highlight how few of those areas there are in the US compared to their own service. Also Apple is not disputing the 3g coverage comparison at all -- their entire argument is that stupid people in the population will assume the gaps are for standard talk service - not just 3g. In other words, it is a stupid excuse to pull the ads showing their lack of 3g coverage.But I guess you don't know that since you haven't actually taken the time to watch the commercial, or read about it even though you were able to comment on the article -- guess you haven't figured out how to do that on your iphone yet.Bottom line is at&t is throwing all this money at a court case instead of fixing the 3g coverage problem (that they essentially acknowledge). How does that make you feel as a customer?
As a world leading expert in the Atari-2600 (with thousands of hours from my youth "stolen" by the Atari corporation) I concur: Atari-version-PacMan was by far the biggest Atari let down of the decade for us kids. However... the story does not end so tragically for the youth of my day. A few years later the TI/99/4A hit the neighborhood, and saved the day. That machine ran an amazing version of "Defender" rip off called Parsec, that absolutely rocked, complete with a female-computer voice speaking during the game. TI had another amazing game called Miner-49'er. And the TI version of Donkey Kong was very good. So our childhood was not fully ruined by Atari's overly rushed and uncreative ports to the limited 2600 platform. (Not to mention the Apple IIE games that took off at the time and initially seemed better than PC games ironically enough, in the early days. But at the time few people I knew could afford the Apple IIE at home. So Atari it was for a couple of years.)

“Judging by how corporations have been operating in recent memory, I'd speculate that if health care companies were allowed to compete across state lines... instead of actually competing, they'd just consume each other through mergers until we were left with the same climate, only nationally. Then something stupid would happen and we'd be left with insurance companies too big to fail... (sound familiar?) Throw in a bailout and we'd be left with... *gasp* government-run health care.I must side with you on favoring state government vs. federal government.
