@Sucka27I have a pretty strong stomach, and will watch anything once, but I think I would have rather not seen that. The dudes face/skull gets split wide open. Think about starting from your forehead, and cutting a 4 inc deep gash, down past your chin. You can't even tell its a face, until the doctor squeezes it back together. |

Don't be an obtuse jackassNot $1 a day, but making $74 an hour to push in a rivet so the next guy can fasten it for another $74 and hour and if there is a spill, have to wait for the shop foreman to come over at $125 an hour to concur that there is a mess and have him order the 'hazmat' team to be sure it isn't dangerous at $100 an hour before finally determining that it is just metal shavings and call over the $50 an hour janitor...Quit paying the top execs billions in pay and bonus' and average the highest paid worker with the lowest paid worker like in Japan and things begin to turn around.and you wonder why Detroit died...

So a partner with cancer is an immediate frustration point for them; to be confronted with something they can't solve or fix (and for that matter, neither can medical science all the time). So some men*, in this situation, turn their backs and seek situations where their fixing and problem solving skills will actually accomplish something.* I place emphasis on SOME MEN.I once had a customer call me asking how to operate his cable. His wife had been the one to handle it, but she had recently died of cancer.He and she had been high school sweethearts -- lovers from their teen years, and the man I was speaking to was now about 74 years old.He sounded heartbroken, and went on to tell me that it was the most painful experience ever to see the love of his life in pain, and suffering, and not only could he do nothing to take her pain away, but he couldn't even hold her hand to remind her he was there, because just touching her hand made her pain worse.So even though he was frustrated and upset he couldn't solve her problem or take away her pain, his love kept him at her side until her last breath.He said that she was his partner, his best friend, and he was like a lost puppy without her.That story reminds me that true love exists, and statistics can't quantify it like they can so much else. |
