That judge makes some good points I didn't even think of, especially the "beer vs bourbon" point. I've long been a supporter of total legalization for all drugs, as pretty much every argument you can make in favor of legalizing alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis can easily be made for the so-called "harder" drugs. Anyway, the Judge should have simply appealed to morality a bit more. The whole "lets machine gun people into our way of thinking" is as immoral as it is ineffectual. In fact, it usually has the opposite effect of what you intend.
